Capuchin Friars

Our Lady of Consolation is staffed by the Capuchin Franciscan Friars. We follow the life handed to us by St. Francis of Assisi.   If you are between the ages of 18 and 35 and would like to know more about the Friars, either contact Fr. Martin or Bro. Lombardo.  They in turn will direct you to the vocation director, Bro. John Paul Russo or he can be directly reached at capuchinlife@aol.com or check out the web site www.capuchinfriars.org .  God may be calling you.  Are you willing to say yes and accept his challenge.

Welcome to Our Lady of Consolation Web Site!  We are grateful that you have taken the time to visit with us here on this site.  As you spend some time here we hope that you will find it both informative and spiritually uplifting.

In these pages we invite you to see who we are as an African-American Catholic Church here in the Diocese of Charlotte, NC.  We are a parish of many nations yet all coming together to give praise and glory to our God.  Administering to the needs of this parish are the Capuchin Franciscan Friars of the Province of the Sacred Stigmata.

We would hope you would mark us down as one of your favorites and come back again and again.  Many things on this site will change, some from day to day, others on a regular basis; some things are here to stay.  All of it is here to assist you.
