Our Lady of Consolation Church is a Catholic Christian community celebrating the rich heritage of both Roman Catholicism and African-American traditions. We seek to become a beacon of hope and strength in our community, through outreach and sharing of our time, talents and treasures.
Our Pastor, Rev. Fr. Basile Sede, Ph.D. is Originally from Fiango – Kumba, Cameroon, Fr. Sede attended St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary, Bambui, Cameroon, where he studied Philosophy and Theology and was eventually ordained a Catholic Priest for the Diocese of Buea, Cameroon on the 16th of April 1998. Fr. Basile Sede has served in the Diocese of Charlotte for the last eight years.

Parish RegistrationThe audio, video, graphics, website and social media teams of the church are looking for volunteers. Volunteers can be high school students from 9th - 12th grade and adults of any age. There will be an orientation about training on Sunday June 4th @ 930am in the gym (also known as sanctuary) . Any questions contact Eric Massey or the church office.
Faith Formation is looking for a few good men and women. Catechists and catechist assistants are still needed. No experience is necessary, and we will provide training and curriculum materials. If you are interested in the future of our children (indeed, of our Church) and in supporting our program, if you feel called to serve in this capacity or know someone who may be interested, please fill out a volunteer form located on our website or contact Evelyn Anderson through the parish office.
