The Holy Father Pope Francis is asking all the faithful to contribute to the upcoming Synod of Bishops by prayerfully considering its topic, "For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation, and Mission." To respond to the Holy Father's call, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte is organizing listening sessions in its parishes and groups. Such gatherings will consider and respond to the following questions: What are the most significant signs of the Lord's presence in your life? What are the biggest challenges or questions you face in responding to the Lord's call? What steps is the Holy Spirit suggesting to you and your community to respond more fully to the Christian vocation?

On Saturday April 23, 2022, a COVID-19 Vaccination event will take place here at Our Lady Of Consolation Catholic Church starting at 9:00 am and ending at 2:00 pm. Atrium Health will provide Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. The vaccines that will be provided will be: 1st and 2nd dose for ages 5-11(Pfizer Peds); 1st and 2nd for ages 12 and up (Pfizer); 1st and 2nd Booster for ages 12 and up; 18 and up with Moderna. The Annual Diocesan Youth Conference is a weekend-long event for high-school youth. This year's conference will take place on April 29 - May 1 at Ridgecrest Conference Center, Black Mountain. DYC brings together high school youth from around the Diocese for a theme-centered weekend of workshops, led by youth and adults alike, keynote speakers, entertainment, daily Mass, Adoration of Our Eucharistic Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, and Confession, all time to grow in the Catholic faith. You are invited to the 11th Annual Carrie Kirkpatrick Golf Tournament which will be held at the Tradition Golf Course in Charlotte, NC on Friday, May 20, 2022. The tournament honors Carrie Kirkpatrick, known as the First Lady of Golf for African American golfers in the Metrolina area. Proceeds from the tournament are donated to a local food pantry housed and staffed by volunteers at Our Lady of Consolation (OLC) Church. Additional proceeds support outreach and youth programs in the Statesville Avenue area. The proceeds from this fundraiser are essential for the continuation of these programs. Starting Friday, March 4, 2022, Our Lady of Consolation's Mens Group will host our Annual 2022 Lenten Friday Fish Fry, TAKE-OUT ONLY, every Friday through Lent from 11:30AM - 6:30PM. Dinners are $12.00 and include 1 fish choice (shrimp, whiting and croaker), hushpuppies, baked beans, coleslaw & iced tea. The Rosary Society will also be selling desserts outside to go with your dinner. All proceeds will be donated to the Capital Campaign. On Fridays during Lent, you can come in and order from 11:30-6:30, to place an order for the Fish Fry.
