The Future of a Listening Church, is Saturday, January 25th at 9:30 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church. With guest speaker Fr. Agbonkhianmeghe E. Orobator, S.J., of Benin City, Nigeria. After his remarks, Fr. Orobator will be interviewed by Toni Tupponce, who’s a writer and speaker on topics of social justice and cultural equity and a member of Our Lady of Consolation, along with former Charlotte Observer religion reporter Tim Funk, who attends St. Peter. Among other things, they’ll ask Fr. Orobator about the role of women in a changing Church, the leadership of Pope Francis, the rapidly growing Church in Africa, our need to care for creation — and the Synod. Toni is requesting our support in attendance at this event. Please see the poster in the atrium for more information.
